Safestart offer First Drive pre-driver experiences to 14-17 year olds on a one to one basis. All sessions are carried out at our Newark training centre.
The pre-driver experience is carried out away from the public highway and consists of vehicle familiarisation, Car controls – safety checks – driver responsibilities – legal aspects – Use of controls (moving away/stopping) and manoeuvres.
There is very little theory involved other than covering safety issues, the idea of the pre-driver first drive experience is to allow you to drive a dual controlled vehicle under instruction from an Approved Driving Instructor in a safe environment.
FIRST DRIVE Pre-driver Experiences are available as either a Two or Three Hour experience
Available from Monday to Saturday on a one to one basis and are payable in advance.

Safestart request that people taking sessions are accompanied to the site by an adult/parent over the age of 21.
